A dog is praised for alerting his owner to a fire started by an unattended kerosene lamp; the family cat is cited as the culprit.

Seriously? Even if the cat did knock over the lamp, it's the HUMAN in this situation who shouldn't have left a lamp burning while he slept.

Who knows for how long, but the Kansas State Board of Ed has gone back to officially defining "science" as "the search for natural explanations of what is observed in the universe."
