That's quite the curious object (and quite the illustration to boot), it seems only fair that your illustrations serves as the contemporary copy of the original, eh? A bit tongue in cheek if i do say so myself.
Yeah, a copy of a copy....of a copy? Of a fake? Or...something? I still don't understand what exactly the deal is.
Antiquarians do appreciate their humor dry, don't they? Dry...brittle...fossilized. "My dear Stanton, your anecdotes this evening are positively fossilized. You'll dry out my sherry if you're not careful, good man. If it's still sprinkling at midnight I may ask you to walk home with me; I've forgotten my umbrella."
"My dear Michael, of course you may ask me to accompany you home. Though, I'm not quite certain why you need the umbrella. No moisture can survive on you. You're like a nonporous dust from the shroud of a mummy. Come, say something hilarious, I dare you."
You found me on OKC, linked me here, and I like it.d3xi0nxyph1kzFebruary 26 2009, 01:18:34 UTC
Your artwork is absolutely beautiful. Glad you linked me to it. This piece in particular reminds me of what my sketchbook looked like a few years back.
Feel free to look at my journal. I haven't much up in terms of illustrative artwork except for a few crappy outfit designs, but perhaps I will add some stuff soon.
Hey! Greetings, lupine. Glad you're pleased by what you see here; I had a feeling you might be. There's more I can share through e-mail that isn't posted here, if you want more.
I just added you, as well. Your journal design sure beats the hell out of mine, and rather inspires me to do something a bit more fitting to my little space here. I like your content, too. Something tells me the photography world is a pretty damn good fit for you.
Expect comments! I'm much more of a commenter than a poster, for better or worse. Though I do try to amuse.
Glad to see you here, by the way. Enchanted, I'm sure. :)
