It seems to be another of the curses. Most of the people I've seen have had their bodies changed into other things.

[...Okay, then. That's still a bit unnerving. The boy she met was much more energetic and outgoing than this version of him, based on their lengthy chat about the usual conventions of videogames. But he looks much the same.]

Hmm. You are not feeling a heartbeat? And at least one of your emotions seems to be subdued or entirely absent. Have you noticed any other changes?

[Well he's not usually that energetic - unless he's talking about video games. But he thinks for a moment, and then shakes his head slowly.]

I haven't. I haven't left my room yet, though.

[There's a thought, and then a swirling column of darkness appears behind him. He turns and tilts his head, still holding his SFC.]

That'll work.

[Still holding the SFC, he heads inside, and there's darkness for a few steps before he appears in the park.]

I don't know... should I be worried about this? I don't feel worried.

[He's kind of hoping that 'I can't feel a heartbeat' wasn't serious because um.]

I don't know. I don't feel all that different. I don't really feel anything...
