Going Clear - see it!

Went to see the new documentary Going Clear: Scientology And The Prison Of Belief at the ByTowne this afternoon. It's on for two more days (Monday and Tuesday evenings), and is really worth seeing. It's one of the best POV-docs I've seen in the last year, and probably among the Top 10 ever for me ( Read more... )

I don't think so -- any violence/humilation is off-screen and attested to but not shown. No mentions of rape or sexual violence that I remember.

There is some mention of Scientology leader David Miscavige attacking people, and very weird scene is described but not shown where Scientology leaders were forced by Miscavige to play a violent form of musical chairs and attacked each other.

Probably the most emotionally difficult scene is where the former Scientology liaison to Travolta describes how her baby was treated & how she escaped.
