This weekend

This weekend I am insane. It is the last day of Anime Evolution and I am utterly exhausted. Last night we decided not to go to Sin City and went to a "normal" club instead. While I learned a lot about how normal people supposedly interact with each other, that was I think also the last time I will ever bother. I learned that when normal girls go ( Read more... )

I concur, only because 'normal people' seem to be content standing off to the side drinking in the middle of a dance floor. Very odd indeed.

Stupid normal people. I used to have a button that said "normal people suck" but I don't know what happened to it. I think it applies in this situation.

I had a blast but I suspect we would fit in a lot better at Sin and cost wise it is about the same anyways. I still had a lot of fun and I am pathetic to say it but I really had fun cuddling and being cuddled, even if it was not real. It felt nice to just relax and game and not give a care to what the people around us thought.

Yeah no kidding. Those poor people and their inability to let go of their inhibitions, even WITH alcohol.

Yeah that sounds kind of lame. But it also shows that you can have fun as long as you are in the right company.

It's very true. It's just hard not to feel a little self-concious when everyone is standing around not doing anything and you are the only one dancing. *laugh*

I agree, the "normal people" were being awkward, but I didn't mind... I still had a good time. The Cellar has a better vibe, even though the music wasn't my style, and everyone was having a blast when I was there (the three bacherloettes AND people out for Grad probably helped), but their cover was steep... but maybe it's the price you pay for a club with a good atmosphere for partying...?

I liked Organix when it was at club 23, so my dislike of sin is nothing to do with the venue. My issue with Sin is the "strict dress code"

In no way will I ever be comfortable in that much fetish gear, or showing heaps of skin, just to get into a club with strangers dressed/undressed in same... even if the atmosphere and vibe of the club itself is better....

But my comfort level doesn't mean you can't go and have a blast :D Just means I wouldn't be part of the group going out...

Okay, the dress code doesn't mean that you have to wear fetish gear or show heaps of skin. You can wear costumes of any sort. Your Alice costume would be fine. Any dressup sort of clothes are usually fine (formal wear) or uniforms. I just prefer to wear as little as possible without being immodest, and am running into problems because my dresses are too plain to be considered a costume or fetishwear of any sort. If it means dressing up to be in a place where people are comfortable with dancing and being who they are and not being awkward, I'd gladly do it. I guess it took a normal club to show me that though. ^_^

*shrug* I'd been told differently at some point... and their flyer says "strict fetish dress code" if I recall correctly, which only reinforced the reports I had gotten... I realize second hand info isn't the best, but the prospect of a fetish club was daunting to begin with for me, and those reports only made it easier to stay away... that and a girl from school used to post her pics from sin on FB and judging from the costumes I saw there, I'd feel really out of place and uncomfortable... thus, it is hard to find an appeal strong enough to get past my foibles in this case, but thank you for wanting to include me :)

Two points, remember Fetish comes in a wide variety. Anime is a fetish...so is furry....so is drag for that matter...you will see topless women and skimpy outfits but you will also see full pirate garb and medieval dress...depends on the night and the theme and whatever...it goes all over the place.
