First rule of self-defense, you know. Never drink a potion someone just offers you. And especially not one that just appears in the middle of a town square. Bloody hell.

Anyone ever thought of starting a dueling club of some sort? It might be difficult to organize, seeing as some of us use magic and some don't, and those who do use magic seem to ( Read more... )

[He's already bitched about the whole fountain thing, so he's got nothing more to say about that. He likes the dueling idea, though]

Might be a good idea to hook up people with different abilities too, sometimes. Just so they could, y'know, figure out how to deal with all different kinds of stuff.

Absolutely, for training exercises! That can always come in handy.

Well, I'd definitely be interested in something like that. Those training dummies ain't been putting up much of a fight, lately.

Agreed. It's not really any fun firing spells at something that just sits there.

Well that's another story. I mean, I suppose if my husband had wanted to... but of course he doesn't, that's why he's my husband.

How have you been doing? Keeping warm all right?

Oh, I dunno. Estelle is someone you care about, right?

That's good! I do worry about you. Hopefully spring will be here soon and it'll warm up a bit. I do miss warm weather.

That's actually not a bad idea. It'll be beneficial for everyone who enjoys training, as training alone won't necessarily make you any stronger.

Potion?

Did something happen?

[OOC Do pardon Polka's cluelessness, she's been in a sort of sleep coma for the past two or three days. Missed almost all the fun *sob* ]

Yes, you know, that fountain in the middle of town. Full of wine or something, though clearly it's enchanted wine.

Someone filled the fountain full of wine? [ Rustling noises follow - sliding out of bed to patter over to the window and see if she can see it too. ] Was it a practical joke? Who did it?

The Malnosso did it, I assume. To do another of their experiments, I suppose.

People rarely consider the contents of what they take in. A sad fact.

Ugh, I know. My old teacher back home would have a fit at all this carelessness.

Then again, if no-one had drunk it, we'd have no idea as to it's properties.

There are other ways to test for things like that than drinking it.
