I give attention to people, children and adults, who need it. It's actually harder for me to give attention to really attractive people because i find it distracting.
Also, in my experience as a professional helper, I've found taht attractive people, no matter their ages, tend to be more manipulative than less attractive people.
I agree with that. About very attractive people being more manipulative on average than average looking people. It may have something to do with getting more attention as babies... could be a chicken vs. egg thing.
But I'm not talking about 'ugly' baby like this one http://www.dailyhaha.com/_pics/me_want.htm, who is average-cute. Won't be a great looking man, but he's average. I could totally deal with having a kid that looks like that. I might wish he'd be more handsome, but just in an "ah well" kind of way.
And you are like the poster child of care-givers. You've got enough compassion for 10 people.
I'm not nearly that compassionate... but I'm not nearly as harsh as say, my mother... who thinks that babies with birth defects should be aborted or drowned. She can never get over that cousin of hers with spinobifida (sp?), who rolled around on the floor with no apparent higher brain function. I think that really freaked her out.
Well, I'm all for women choosing to have abortions if their fetus' are malformed or will have some other kind of developmental, genetic, or whatever kind of problem. Considering the myriad types of diagnostics you can have now, to determine that, the choice is almost completely up to the parents in general, mother in particular.
For instance, my sister, who chose to terminate her pregnancy at 6 months when she found out her fetus was growing without a brain.
That said, once a person is born, they are no longer able to be terminated for those reasons and deserve as much human compassion as any other person; maybe they even deserve more compassion.
also, I think the only thing doctored about that picture is the teeth. A baby that young should have that many teeth, and they shouldn't be that big. If you cover up the teeth, it's actually kind of cute. The teeth throw it all off.
