plasma donators?

does anyone donate plasma?  a lady i work with did it yesterday and she told me how much you can make a month. gotta say, it sounds pretty good to me! i've donated blood, but i always get this awful bruise on my forearm, so i haven't done it in awhile. so i'm wondering if anyone here has done it and can share some info with me?

I donate blood..
I can't give plasma, my veins always give a little bit of a trouble with the needle.
So better not plasma. :D

I do know that it's not painfull or anything, it just takes a long time.

Money?? We get tea and a cookie!! :s

i've heard it takes awhile. i just don't want to sit there in pain. so i'm relieved that it doesn't appear to cause pain.

we get cookies and juice for blood. but money for plasma! woot! otherwise i wouldn't go out of my way to donate. kind of selfish. lol!

I'm not allowed to donate.. but I've worked in a company where all the plasma goes to after donating, for further distribution. Very interesting. What I heard, it's not that bad. A lot of people are doing it, actually. I was surprised. :)

i looked into it a little on the web to find out more info and they do a lot with it! i was surprised. so it makes me feel good to be helping out like that. i'm a little worried about how i fell physically afterward.

the place is on my way to work, which is nice, and there were a lot of people there this morning!

WEIRD! I started donating plasma for money last week. I donated yesterday, and I'm donating tomorrow. The first time is a little hard and time consuming (it took me about three hours because of all the extra stuff you have to do the first time), I don't know how they would do it with you, but at where I went you had to sign a bunch of forms, answer a bunch of questions, and do a quick physical. Yesterday was the second time I'd ever done it and it was SOOOO easy. It only took me a little less than an hour to donate yesterday, and that's about how much it should take.

HAHAHA, Jesse does it twice a week, and he convinced me to start. Just fyi!

that is weird!
the lady at work told me it takes a couple of hours the first time cause of all the stuff you have to do. *sigh* but i'm sure once that is over, i'll be fine with the time. good to know that if it does hurt the first time it won't the next. at least that won't let me chicken out and not go back!

does he, or you, feel tired or anything weird physically from doing it so often? i don't want to feel odd because of it. that's one thing that worries me.

I'd love the extra cash...but unless it's $10,000 a month, I am not getting my blood taken, lol. I had it done before surgery once and I almost passed out.
