X3-class solar flare from sunspot 930, with coronal mass ejection directed straight towards Earth! It’s already set off an R3 (“strong”) radio blackout and an S2 (“moderate”) solar radiation storm. In other words, nice and big. Expected arrival time 18:00 UTC tomorrow, December 14th - if you’re in a dark area anytime close to that, keep an eye out

It is very nice indeed, BUT, we have at least 120 miles of clouds each way out of town... For 2-3 days at least.
