Goodness, I seem to be on a 1930s-1950s pop OBSESSION.

You MUST watch the BBC mini-series version with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle! It's soo good! I liked the current adaptation too but a few things rubbed me the wrong way and I didn't quite like Keira Knightley as Elizabeth but Matthew MacFadyen was lovely! I remember seeing the Laurence Olivier version on television one night and I was absolutely horrified. There were all sorts of things wrong with that adaptation -.-;
and yes yes yes read the book! Jane Austen owns me.

I really liked the Laurence Olivier version. (so much that I bought the movie) But that may be my undying love for Laurence Olivier AND Greer Garson, who can do no wrong in my eyes. (Only exception is when Laurence Oliver tried to be Othello... black make-up and all. o.o;)
I haven't seen it in years though. And I just recently borrowed it to a friend so I can't watch it now to see the things odd with it.
But I've only heard good things about the BBC version! I definitely need to see it. :D

I totally loved "V for Vendetta." I forgot to write an entry about it. I want to see it again. :/

Though, I did a thorough skimming of the comic, and it was REALLY from the movie. I definitely like the movie loads better, but I understand why people are going "OMGNO" if they read and loved the comic before.
Seeing it again only increased my love for it. Such a great and lovely movie. I need to see again soon or I'll burst! Hehe.

The line "A revolution without dancing is not worth having" reminded me of DDR though.
