Who watched the Grey's Anatomy/Private Practice crossover last night?
SERIOUSLY. I LOVE THEM. I know Owen is all screwed up with his PTSD and secrets and fiancee abandoning and panic attacks and possible alcoholism but seriously? I don't even care. This pairing is SO GOOD. Sure, Owen has A LOT of issues to deal with, but I totally believe he can do it with Cristina, especially after last night's episode. Um, the scene in the on-call room where he basically told her that he needed her? MY HEART MELTED. I can't wait to see how Cristina's past comes up, especially since how Owen broke up with his fiancee (btw, how much did I NOT like her and her awful sweater???) was as abrupt and unexpected as Burke abandoning her. I hope Cristina's emotions and needs are focused on in the next episode because I imagine it totally reminds her of Burke. I really want to see Owen's reaction to the whole Burke thing.
To me, this shows how much Cristina has changed because her relationship with Burke was a lot about teaching and cardio and him wanting her to be someone she wasn't. He was put together and an amazing surgeon and just so neatly packaged. Whereas now with Owen, their relationship is so raw and REAL. Burke never really needed Cristina (except maybe when his hand was bad - and that was more necessity than actually need) but Owen NEEDS her and it's awesome to see Cristina in that role. And the fact that he's SO NOT BURKE is what makes them perfect for each other. Not to mention the intense attraction and hotness.
Writers, PLEASE DON'T SCREW THIS UP.
