Well. Not the best epi. Interesting, but not in the best way. I did like a few parts though.
You know, when they were doing the "previous on Alias" segment, I swore there was stuff that I didn't remember happening. Like getting a defector... did I just happen to space out watching the previous eps? Probably.
Syd and Vaughn install a rock containing a camera onto the side of a cliff. Fun. Then they fall about a bajillion feet before opening their parachutes. That's probably the millionth time they should've died.
Chamonix has the Doleac Agenda (containing the names of all six high ranking Covenant cell leaders), guarded by banging technological security. Designed by Vivica A. Fox. Dixon says Syd and Vaughn will talk to her. Syd looks at Vaughn. Vaughn looks at Syd. Jack looks at Vaughn.
Sloane talks to Jack about Syd, Emily, Omnifam, and seeing a shrink.
Speaking of shrinks, Sydney tells Barnett about kissing Vaughn in Korea. She believes Vaughn is her soul mate. Gag me now.
Weiss talks to Vaughn. Hilarious convo. Esp this: "Do you think it's possible to be in love with two women at the same time?" "No, I don't."
Lauren is stripping. JJ's blatant use of sex appeal to attract viewers is annoying. Sark enters the fitting room. By the way, what is up with Lauren's hair? I swear, in the whole ep, one side of her hair always covers part of her eyes. Is that supposed to be cool? Sark proposes a deal to Lauren to kill all six cell leaders and force a coup within the Covenant. Cause the cell leaders have these watches that control the cells... and if in the wrong hands... the Covenant could go down. Oh and the look on the saleslady's face when she sees Sark is priceless.
Sydney talks mission with Jack over dinner...
And asks Dixon to send Weiss on the mission instead of Vaughn. She gives a bs reason instead of just out and saying, "If I spend too much time with Vaughn, I'm going to jump his bones because I can't get over him."
Lauren approaches cell leader numero uno in a parking garage. Talks to him, flirts with him. Sark looks on from his car. Ew, ew, ew. Did not need to see said cell leader groping Lauren. Or Sark looking at her like that when she stabs the guy and takes the watch.
Sydney and Weiss go on a mission. One part I actually liked. I much like their outfits too. And Weiss' accent. They give Vivica diamonds. She says that for a security system like one in Chamonix, the diamonds are nothing. Syd pulls out her badge. Weiss tells her the comforts of CIA cell life, and the two types of CIA cells. By the way, the CIA has more than one cell?
Marshall and Carrie discuss with everyone how to infiltrate Chamonix...
While Sloane injects some funky green liquid into his arm. Then he calls Jack agreeing to the shrink idea. Barnett flys to Zurich and Sloane gets cold feet about talking.
CIA learns of cell leaders being wiped out, moves up mission time. They think that Covenant is on to them, cause the Doleac Agenda will be useless if all the cell leaders are dead.
On a plane... Sydney looks like she's playing a video game. Talks to Vaughn like, "I am not gonna be that other woman, so you had better leave that skanky bitch if you want me." Did anyone else notice that Vaughn's forehead wrinkles were there the whole entire ep? I think he needs to relieve some stress, otherwise they might never go away. Jack sits down, notices tension, cause Jack is one smart cat. Tells them that the Doleac Agenda is in a cork on a wine bottle.
Vaughn calls Lauren. Lauren plays the role of dutiful and loving wife as she watches Sark kill another cell leader. In a hotel room. Dear Sark, please stop looking at Lauren like that.
Mission time. Jack hacks into security. Syd and Vaughn get past the guns.
Meanwhile, Carrie is about to have a baby. But she wants to get married first. Marshall prints out a contract for Weiss so he can be the minister of the Internet Church of Mammals.
Syd gets zapped as the pipe cracks under her weight. Hah!
Weiss marries Marshall and Carrie. Don't they need a witness?
Sydney and Vaughn run past acid showers, find the wine with the Doleac Agenda, and run out. The acid conviently sprays the guards in the face. Jack shoots potential killers. Go SpyDaddy. How did Syd and Vaughn get out if the pipe with the rope was broken and they couldn't touch of the walls of the electric field?
Barnett tells Sloane that she understands him, somewhat. And can help him.
Sark and Lauren kill the last cell leader, discuss their plans next, and make out. I'm telling you, JJ injected Sark with some kind of aphrodesiac. When has he ever looked so sexually hot and bothered, so to speak? Never. Not even with Allison, if I recall correctly.
Sloane has a secret and I think I know what it is. After all, it concerns Sydney and Jack. The predictibility of this show is leading to terrible things. Maybe we should sign up everyone involved with Alias in some creativity classes. Then we can get some new plotlines.
YAY, QT IS BACK! (At least for one ep) I lurve Tarantino. And Cole. Heh, he likes Sark's hair. Oh and he knows. Sark is getting nervous. Cole pulls out six watches. Sark looks like he's about to pee in his pants. I never thought it was possible for the actual character to be OOC on the actual show, but I guess I'm wrong. Sark is totally not himself this epi. Anyway, Cole only knows because Lauren told him. He assures Sark that they made his life easier because now the Doleac Agenda that the CIA has is useless. Hands them control of the Covenant's spiffy and shiny new North American cell. Then he says a few words to Lauren about Vaughn and Syd. Heh, he said sex-tivities.
Hypocrite Lauren tells Syd to back off Vaughn. Syd looks appalled and stunned.
And... cut.
Oh and just as I'm cheering that Sark did NOT sleep with Lauren (that we saw of), I see the preview for the next epi. And oh, look, Sloane's secret. How predictable... if it's true, JJ, I will have your head.
That was freakin' long. I can't believe I had the patience to write the whole review. Thanks for reading. It's only because sd-1 is down!!! Blake thinks they might not be back up till tomorrow. Maybe I should go finish reading Angels & Demons.
