Norwegians didn't use to celebrate it either, but for some reason (Americanizing I guess) it came here a couple of years ago. gah! It's so stupid...it has nothing to do with any Norwegian traditions at all, in fact, we already have something similar, only it's after x-mas. It's just something that suddenly came so that stores could sell more stuff for yet another holyday, and it happened to work out because kids get candy out of it :P
