I've been busy with a bunch of stuff lately, including (yay!) stuff I've just been making for myself. Though the rest of the time was probably filled with schoolwork :(.
Firstly, OMG I SUCCESSFULLY KNITTED A CABLE.
AND
*drumroll*
IT LOOKS LIKE AN OWL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D Anyway, I'm obviously quite excited and proud. I was also happy to find sunflower shaped buttons in my button box, which I thought were perfect eyes. Good lighting with this guy is sort of difficult, however. And now I must find a sweater or something to tack him to.
This little owlie has been popping up everywhere in knitting patterns, though sadly I am not a knitter. I found
this pattern the easiest, and I used a binder ring instead of a cable needle (mine is at home) and it worked quite well ^_^
I've worked on a couple other things lately, but I shall now present you with the most coherent of these, and most intertwined. Also, all of this stuff was after Valentine's Day, which I generally disregard for its consumerism, but hey, candy is nice :) and so is an excuse to use pink and hearts.
So... here is the candy I received from my family :)
I made a silly face because I couldn't choose which to eat first. I picked the one with the rose. Snoopy is still waiting.
Here's a little paperclip-bookmark-heart-guy I made from a tut' I found
here.
And here is a heart made from a
free pattern from the lovely VoodooMaggie.
I used yarn I borrowed from the school yarn closet to make these... mwahaha. I'm not really sure why I seem to like pink and hearts lately.
I will do more posts soon! I swear! Hopefully about these in progress projects: t-shirt dress, warp ikat weaving, weft ikat weaving, colorful/linear sculptures, and an underwater party costume!
