Obama has NOT yet won

I hear that this is what the media did with previous elections.  Maybe I just blocked it out, or was watching stations/websites with slightly more integrity, but it is 10 PM CST and MSNBC has declared Barak Obama the next president of the United States.  Not probably the next president, not the next president based on exit polls, THE next president

i agree that they dramatize, but who's fault is it really? is it the politicians and the campaigns, or is it the news stations who are desperate to say something new and definitive and overanalyze everything to get those headlines?

but don't get me started on my diatribe against the questionable ethics and practices of modern american media.

Actually, they don't just rely on exit polls for these things. Trust me, these people know what they're doing, especially after getting pretty well trashed in 2000. After that, they're being much more cautious. And let's face it: there was never a question of Obama winning California.
