I'm in a political mood. Call it the new president (who I think will be far better than the old one, but I know not all agree), or whatever. Anyways

I think it's best to have an open mind about everything in life, be it politics or a tv programme.
Though to be perfectly honest i don't really subscribe to any political leaning like liberal or conserative. As i'm quite cynical about modern politics at the best of times (though i'm in awe of how Obama laid out his path to victory and pulled it off). If anything i think there is a balance to be struck between the many varied political leanings, conserative and liberal being just two of many different political outlooks on life.
If you close your mind and parrot the views of others then you just become one of many people in the crowd of a mob.
Not all religions are like that though - I went to Jewish schools my whole life and I always felt encouraged to ask questions - I think this is one reason that I'm so strong in my religious beliefs - because whenever I was uncomfortable with something, I was expected and encouraged to discuss it.
That's what I say to Chris. Don't believe something just because someone tells you it is true. I have seen this on both sides. He has only been in office for less than a week. Don't paint him as the next Messiah or the AntiCrist already. Let him prove his metel on way or the other. I will say though that I think it is disgusting that they have coins out now that compare him to both Washington and Kennedy. Washington was the father of our country. He is way more significant than the first black president, historic as it may be and I do not get the Kennedy thing at all. Is it because he is young? I hope it is not because of Kennedy's stance on Civil Rights because Kennedy only acted on Civil Rights because he was forced to. If you watch A presidency revealed, the leaders of the Cival Rights movements all confirm that.
