When I read this entry last night (checking e-mail/lj-friends one last time before bed), I wanted to call you and chit chat about why grades are only a tiny part of what you want out of school (not that you don't know that already, just I'd hope it's nice to have someone to talk with about it).
Basically, if I lived nearby, I would have come over with a bunch of hot chocolate and given you a big hug. Maybe even brought some silly, feel-good movie with me.
I do wish you were around here, though. You'd guilt me into doing better with my school work, I'm sure =]
I've missed our conversations too. *sighs* I always say that it's going to be easier to talk when I have more time...but that never seems to happen, except on breaks when I'm sharing the line with my parents.
Hot chocolate = miracles. :) Though not that the weather is turning a little kinder, I might vote for a frappucino....
Come to Chicago soon! I love this city...and I'd be glad to show you around. The timing works out well for me...its early on in the second part of the semester, so the workload isn't too bad. Do be sure to give me the details when you know it...
I won't try to speak to the grades subject. To be honest with you, I stop seriously caring about grades and gpa a long time ago. In fact, I took a midterm test in Indy this morning and haven't thought about it sense then. Needless to say, I am not the best person to speak of caring about grades. Instead, I will speak to your health. I hope you are taking care of yourself and managing the stress as best you can. You will do great. I just hope you allow yourself to understand that. I hope that you will not let the stress get to you. As a person that used to be highly stressed, and now deals with the consequences of the stess (hypertension), I worry about you sometimes. I know you will not relax (smile) but I wish you well during this stressful time.

I must admit though - "content" with a 3.7? - that's still quite impressive to a person with a 3.3 on his report card. Good luck though!
