i just looked at my face in the mirror and i think i can be officially described as "gaunt." [i'm probably less than 104 now.] and yet, my thighs and stomach are still fat. i'm obviously going to have to spend 5 hours a day at the gym like the rest of the ladies with perfect bodies. or magically become 12 again. one or the other ( Read more... )

Which tri-state area? Remember, there are dozens. :-)

That said, you should just spit on people who say "I'm smarter than you". One dude who's a buddy's boss popped that off to my girlfriend about two months ago. It did *not* go well for him.

And if sleep's a distinct problem, try benedryl instead of alcohol. Alcohol makes some people's depression worse; a few benadryl, I am convinced, would put a horse to sleep for four hours.

Your thighs are NOT fat. And neither is your stomach, I'm willing to wager. Unless they did some major magical editing to those clothing modeling pics you linked in your next post, anyway. Your legs actually look a little on the thin side. If they appear fat, it probably means you need to build up a little bit more muscle in them, which would give them a smoother "leaner" look. You weigh less than I do, and I'm almost a stick figure at 5'6"... I don't know how tall you are but unless you're like 5' even or damn close, 104 lbs is like "kidney problems" thin. The gym is a good idea though, especially if you're doing weight training... because some muscle tone would even out any areas that might look ( ... )

i'm also 5'6. the problem is really that i haven't been to the gym in months and am totally out of shape. i'm only this light because i have very little muscle on my body right now. i'm normally like ah-nold. haha.

I hear you on needing to get back to the gym; I'm in lousy shape after my medical layoff. A nice long workout should help you sleep better, too.

What do you think of the book, and how far have you gotten?
