HD tv

So I have been having a hard time waiting to get 'my shows' on dvd from the US. So I was looking into HD because for some reason I thought there were different shows on the HD channels and maybe I could see 'my shows' sooner than waiting for the dvds. Alas, looking at the tv guide, there doesn't seem to be much difference

I don't think we have any choice. They're phasing out normal tv and making everyone get digital freetoair.

But I feel your pain. At least we're getting Merlin soon. May 3 \o/
