Hi ya, I am working on my next essay. I am going to write about "Requiring high school student to pass a comprehensive exam for getting in College/ university."

This is a argumentation-persuasion. So i need your idea so I can argue. Do you think we should have that kind of exam? Why or why not?

i dont think there should be one because it's hard enough trying to get into college as it is. I mean you alread have to take the ACT which is super freaking hard. then you have to spend the rest of your time trying to pass highschool, getting financial aid, and even finding a school that will take you. i mean college is hard why make it harder

The test contains the things that you should have lerned in high school or in GED class. The test would determine ones scholastic capabilities. If one doesn’t have the basic foundation of knowledge, college would prove to be too difficult. The student would fail or become discouraged and drop out. This is a waist of time and money. This test provides a standard for students.

I think so. I think it's a good idea that students should have to take a comprehensive test to get into college.

Without it, colleges wouldn't be able to weed out the smart from the not-so-smart.

I do, however, think that the test you take should be related to your major, provided you have one.

If you do not have a major selected, I believe that you should take a general exam though, and that it should be a requirement if the applicant is physically and mentally able to pass the test.
