Ah, I loved this. I just... Loved it. So destabilizing, yet so beautiful. As we read, we can almost feel Kyuhyun's worries, his hopes, his loneliness...his love.

I just absolutely adore how you describe Ryeowook's personality. You really nailed it.

That's actually what I wanted to show! (Or well, "tell" may be the better word, given my writing style..) Kyuhyun is worried by his confusing friendship with Ryeowook, then he is hopeful, then he is heartbroken (although he tries to suppress that). In this verse, Ryeowook has loved Kyuhyun for a very long time, and it took Ryeowook a lot of time and pain to get past that and have a girlfriend, but that's a different story altogether.

That lovely brunch tweet from Ryeowook was actually my inspiration for the brunch part of this story. The fact that they do have brunches together, ALONE, just screams "KyuWook is real!" to me. But I ended on a sad note because I'm also overwhelmed by my perception that sometimes, Kyuhyun seems to take Ryeowook for granted; hence, the painfully bittersweet ending..

I hope it's just my imagination, though. I know he cares for Ryeowook very much, but he seems so cold-hearted sometimes..? Kyuhyun's my bias, but he annoys me so much sometimes, lol.

Sorry for that ending.. I've foreshadowed it in the dream, but I purposely made Kyuhyun interpret the dream as something positive, when in fact the background settings of his dream -- with the tall man and his girlfriend breaking up -- just screams that Ryeowook has moved on.

I agree that you couldn't have wrote it any other way, this story was meant to be heartbreaking, and it does its job really well! ... But I'll just imagine that there's a sequel in which this scarf-lady ends their relationship and Ryeowook goes to Kyuhyun with his man-pain and somehow they end up happy ever after *w* <3 OTL

WOAH. You've just read my mind! I mean, I've played with the idea of sequels when I wrote this one -- and that oversized scarf detail was actually what I "planted" here to progress to the sequel.. although I'm still deliberating on how I'd go writing it or even if I should. Nice catch there! :D
