I remember both of the churches above well--thanks for reminding me how awe-inspiring St. Patrick's is. I always meant to make it to St. John the Divine while I was in NYC, but never did. Have you been there?
Oh! And they're letting you take pictures in the subway now?
I don't think I have been, I don't get up to that part of town very often.
Well there's a much lower police presence on the subway than I remember there being when you lived here. No more SWAT dudes trolling around toting M16s.
It could still not be ok. Maybe because I'm using my phone no one has realized what it is I'm doing yet. Though I had never heard that it wasn't allowed.
It really is a cool building. A giant glass cube that sits in the middle of a huge courtyard (right in front of F A O Schwartz) inside of the cube is the worlds largest glass staircase that leads to the store which is underground and is the size of almost two football fields. It's seriously - very freakin cool.
