Big life decision

So, I'm thinking about deferring this year of uni to work and travel. It's a big decision, but the big problem is that I dont like my course, so I'm getting really frustrated trying to go and make it work

I say go for it. I've been having similar issues, although since I'm already sort of traveling, my solution is to overload courses in another major behind my advisers' backs, because I'm positive they'll disagree. I just pictured myself in the future, sitting in a cubicle with a crapload of figures and sheets around--the one exact thing I wanted to avoid when I was little. Good luck!
