1. Read every day. A writer who doesn’t read is like a cook who doesn’t eat. And - this is important - don’t just read the books you like to read. Cast your net wide, read outside your comfort zone. Try different genres, different periods, different authors. You might learn something.

The obvious omission in my opinion is to start any piece of writing with a structural plan for what you want to achieve. This may not be right first time but it sure helps to impose coherence on a piece of prose.

Otherwise list makes sense to me.
