We have karaoke on demand with our cable company and last night we had a few drinks and, well, you know how it goes, we got to a point where singing in front of each other seemed like a good idea.

Anyway, I called up the Macarena thinking it was going to be mumble mumble mumble macarena. Hey macarena.  And no.  It was not.  There were honest to God

Hee. It's funny how karaoke only seems like a good idea after the drinking starts! The best work Christmas Party I have ever been to involved copious amounts of alcohol and SingStar.

The one song I was surprised to find out the lyrics to (yes, at the above-mentioned Christmas Party) was Come on Eileen. I sang that as a tween, but I only ever knew the chorus. Was I shocked to find out the actual words!

Who won the karaoke?

There were no winners. lol. It was just drunken fun.

It's amazing how karaoke makes sense after a few drinks, but in the cold light of sober it's a cringe inducing idea.

So this was you and Ralph was it? Now that I would have loved to have seen....

You'd NEVER get And up to sing, not in a million years and no matter how drunk he was so fair play to Ralph for being game....

It was me, Ralph and Mum and for a period, the kids too (although they weren't drunk).

When you come over, we might be firing it up. You'd better warn And. I've got to be pretty damn drunk to suggest it so maybe you'll be lucky and avoid it.

And it'll take more than a drink or two to get me singing....*shudders*

We've only cranked up the karaoke twice in the five months we've been here so I think you and And are pretty safe. It's not like we've got a weekly spot for it or anything.
