Why do I always cry at weddings?

I went to a friend's wedding over the weekend and it was lovely, a beautiful location, a beautiful service, but man, the moment I saw the bride step out of the car the waterworks started, and didn't let up until the service had ended and we physically left the location.  Great big honking tears which slid down my face and dived off my chin.  What's ( Read more... )

See, ordinarily I'm not a big girls blouse, that's the confusing part. But take me to a wedding and it's blubber central.

I'll try not to blubber around you, seeing as you're so sympathetic to it.

Heh. I must admit I usually get a bit misty eyed at most weddings. Did you get the boys' school stuff sorted out? Or are the truancy police going to arrest you when you get home?

I think it's all the underlying emotion that gets me going at weddings, the idea that two people love each other enough to commit to each other for a life time. *wipes tear*

I had to withdraw the kids from school to avoid the truancy problem. I'll re-enrol them today. Bloody ridiculous. But that's overzealous regulating for you.
