1. What did you do in 2012 that you’d never done before?
Met 5 cousins back home in Australia and two uncles I had never met before.
Went to a Down Under Festival in Atlanta and met an Aussie singer.
Went to a Highland Festival in Atlanta and met an Irish folk band- Stonewall.
Saw Flight of the Conchords perform in Australia.
Saw Celtic Thunder again but this time I got to hug Ryan Kelly and take a photo with him. George and Keith signed their solo cds for me and Dad got my program signed by everyone.
Bought a 2005 blue Mustang convertible.
Completed a full year in a full-time job. Still love it.
Visited my best friend in Maryland and went to a Renaissance Festival.
Got propositioned by an Eastern European guy at a bar while I was wearing a Minnie Mouse costume. :P
Went to NYC… and met MR. ALAN SIDNEY PATRICK RICKMAN after watching Seminar in the second row.
2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Well, I didn’t pass half my CPA exams… but I did sit for one. Failed it, but I hope to pass all four this year. Also, we just bought a treadmill so I hope the trimming up will happen this year.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
My cousin, and some friends from high school and college, but I’m not really close to them.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Thankfully, not.
5. What countries did you go to?
Australia! First time home in about 11 years. It was the most amazing trip.
6. What would you like to have in 2013 that you lacked in 2012?
Still waiting on the green card, and passing the CPA exams.
7. What dates from 2012 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Feb 12th Met ALAN RICKMAN. Did I mention that? Because it was awesome.
Dec 1st. Bought Belle, my Mustang.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Can going home be an achievement? Also, meeting Alan Rickman? J Nothing really that personal though.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Failing the CPA Exam, I guess. :P But I knew I would and I did better than I expected so I’m just more determined to do well in 2013.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Just colds.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Tickets home, tickets to see Flight of the Conchords and my Mustang! (Bought tickets to see Alan in 2011)
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
My dad’s and my friends as usual.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Those people who think killing innocents is a good idea.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Traveling, shows, and my CAR.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Going home, seeing Alan and Flight of the Conchords, hugging Ryan, and buying my car.
16. What song will always remind you of 2011?
Not sure.

The CPA exam

Procrastinating and not studying enough.
20. How did you spend Christmas?
Four and a half glorious days around the house with Dad. Christmas day with the Aussie I work with and her family, watching Les Mis on Christmas day with the Aussie, her family, and some friends. Seeing the lights up at Lake Lanier- north Georgia. Saw The Hobbit and Taken 2.
21. Did you fall in love in 2012?
No.
22. How many one-night stands?
None, despite the proposition.
23. What was your favorite TV program?
Once Upon a Time. Awake with Jason Isaacs.
24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
No.
25. What was the best book you read?
Started the Women’s Murder Club series by James Patterson. (1st to Die, etc)
26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Really love Of Monsters and Men.
27. What did you want and get?
A car… stuff for my car… a big London canvas print for the wall…
My best friend got me the 50th anniversary Dr Who Monopoly game, a pride and prejudice scarf from Etsy, an out of print Pride and Prejudice book cover shirt, Jingle the hallmark puppy, and a 50th anniversary Dr Who planner.
28. What did you want and not get?
A puppy… a house. All in good time.
29. What was your favorite film of this year?
I really liked Skyfall and Taken 2. Les Mis and The Hobbit were also good.
30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 24- Had frozen yoghurt with my friends. Dad got me a Kindle.
31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Not sure… It was pretty awesome.
32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2012?
Same as usual. Love infinity scarves now though.
33. What kept you sane?
Dad, friends, books, music.
34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Well, I met Alan. Flight of the Conchords… and some more Richard Armitage.
35. What political issue stirred you the most?
Not a lot.
36. Who did you miss?
Family back home even though I got to see them again! J
37. Who was the best new person you met?
ALAN RICKMAN. A new boss at work who’s pretty awesome. Family members.

40. How will you be spending New Year's Eve?
I didn’t have any plans except for seeing Taken 2 with my dad on New Years Day. Since I’m writing this in January, I ended up snoozing through Wild Target with a huge headache and going to bed at 11. Good thing I didn’t have any plans!
