Quackers

Rory's first word, I think, is.... *drumroll*.....

'duck'.

Also, 'cwac-cwac'. I sing her Five Little Ducks when she's in the bath, and she has duck toys, so it's not surprising really.

Heee! How is she doing? And a belated happy 1st birthday to her, that was a few weeks ago, wasn't it?

Yep, she's one now, thanks for the birthday wishes! She's lovely, bum-shuffles instead of crawling (family trait), and still isn't fully weaned yet. It's like having a small poltergeist. I can track her round the house by moving doors, curtains and the clothes-horse. How's Kaylee going? She must be a big girl now!

Quack!

We had some real ducks visit yesterday, looking for snacks, but Rory wasn't keen on them. Plastic ducks are more fun. :D

Thank you. xx Makes up for singing that song over and over. To the point I have to say 'no more duck!'

That is an extremely sensible first word! What's nicer than a duck? Congrats, dear.

Thank you! I was half expecting her to say 'dog' first, she's mad about dogs.

Are you sure she isn't just telling you to mind the flying objects?

I did consider that. 'Cwac-cwac' is probably Welsh, or Sindarin or something. I'm just not paying enough attention.
