It was all those things. Moriarty making an elopement joke, ha! I wish they had screened it on tv here.

Yes on the limitations, and all the jokes! I don't like the threesome either. I think they will exonerate Mary, God knows how, and then kill her off. I've even read rumours that Mycroft will die. Hope not. I just love that this show doesn't treat its viewers like morons.
