RIP Rik
Was shocked to learn about the death of British comic actor Rik Mayall. I've adored him since he was in The Young Ones. Then Blackadder, and Drop Dead Fred. We've lost some fine folks lately, including author Sue Townsend of the Adrian Mole diaries. RIP you wonderful funny people, you gave me a lot of laughs and I'll miss you. -

Am reading an interesting book called Wine & War, about the French struggles when the Nazis kept nicking their wine. Anyway, it tells how some members of the Resistance were smuggled out of the country in empty wine barrels. Thank you to my dear flisties for the birthday wishes! It was mostly spent indoors due to very hot weather. Today was Aurora’s christening.
