i thot that transport there is cheaper cos they charge in zones. and you can buy daily ticket. so u can save a lot on transportation. i live in aussie to and i reckon the transportation in sg is way overrated. aussie is way cheaper. (:
Hi there! Haha, we wish you're right, but sadly Singapore's public transport costs are indeed more affordable. Here in Sydney, there's no bus concession for foreign students. It's only for locals. So we have to pay full adult price.
They do have "daily ticket" though. But unfortunately we don't accumulate orders, so to spread our shopping over multiple trips over multiple days, you can imagine how many "daily tickets" we'd have to buy. So the day trip tickets don't really work for us.
Unless of course we come up with a promotion like our current Valleygirl Week. We accumulate orders so we make one trip for multiple purchases, thus saving money and hence passing those savings on to our customers! :) Which is why our fees are lowered - A LOT - while this promotion is valid.
Anyway, we've been here for 4 years and their bus fees keep going up. Argh. And still no concessions for foreign students despite so many appeals from foreign student bodies. Oh well.
