That was serious amounts of fun.  Hemi and Claire are really adorable, dancing together, it was fun to watch that.  Heck, it was fun to play for that

I think I should have said more clearly that the Abbess is a dive. The manager says the pool table will be fixed in a couple weeks, so Open Mic there is done for very shortly. Knew it would be, because that's a bar you go at to drink, not to listen to the Indigo Girls.

(What were those two last night thinking? Poor girls.)

I don't know, but I feel so bad for them! Maybe we could get the owners of the Ink to start doing open mic nights there? Although, that does mean more Indigo Girls. But they host Meridian Slam there, among other things, so why not a 2-song limit open mic night or something?

The Abbess isn't as bad as some bars. It's all what you're used to seeing. There's one up near St. Anselm that makes that one look like a Disney bar. Once they got used to me being there, no one ever bothered me there. It's a matter of showing you're okay.

I have to agree there. I used to play some /serious/ dives in New York - even those, it's really just a matter of showing you're okay, and not a douche.
