I'm not quite mad yet. I've been annoyed, perplexed, panicked and, now, flabbergasted at AT&T's parade of mistakes in getting my business phone and DSL working. It's a-gonna progress to mad if they don't fix this ASAP. Damn. That's a truly astonishing series of fuckuppery. Is it too late to find someone else to handle phone/internet for you? Companies love jerking their competition around: you might get a sweet and really fast deal elsewhere complaining about the ATT service.

ATT is what used to be SBC around here, and I seem to recall phone/DSL through them was an awful PITA.

So sorry! I hope the dressing room jack works for you.

I hate to say this, but your experience seems like the norm in dealing with *any* large company nowadays. The front line phone people don't know anything, it's russian roulette to get a technician who knows what they are doing and will take the time to do it, everything's subcontracted out and routed around.
