Yes, many tender muscles all up in there to get upset at the odd things bowling does to one's legs. Zoe and Xephyr went bowling recently: they were both in pain for days.

Yah, bowling will tear you up - it is quite unnatural to daily activity and other exercises.

Take anti-inflammatories and do sitz baths (with epsom salts). If you are still in a lot of pain Wednesday, you may have done more serious damage (tear, damage to the pelvis, etc.) and should see a doctor.

Hope you feel better, *hugs*

Anatomy FTW.

You have huge amounts of muscle everywhere, but you're more likely to experience soreness with uni-lateral movements that are out of the ordinary for you. The mons is covered with a big pad of fat, but here's a picture of the musculature.

Hey neat, pictures! I can point to the muscle that, nigh 24 hours later, is still sore. Thanks! And do I know you?

Yeeeees, I used to be in the Austin poly group, but I've dropped out so you probably haven't seen me in a long time. I'm Leah. . . you might have seen me at some of Jeff's functions.

Sounds like just normal lactic acid buildup from overworking a muscle group. Massage it and stretch within your limits. You were doing exercise you're not used to so it's typical to rediscover stuff.

Hope you're OK, and sorry to hear our bowling night resulted in pain for you. Sounds to me though that goudananda has it pegged: lactic acid. So drink lots of water, have some potassium, B vitamins wouldn't hurt. I wouldn't call the doc just yet.
