Private health insurance for hormones?

Sep 14, 2008 03:40

Does anyone who's still an F for Medicare purposes have private health insurance that reduces the cost of Reandron 1000?

(Preferably such that insurance+Reandron costs less than the Reandron on its own)

I'd be curious about the answer to this question as well...

Reandron only costs $150 every three months, which works out to $50 a week. I can't imagine that there is health insurance out there that would make reandron cheaper than that by the time you have factored in the cost of the insurance.

Anal correction: $50 per month, $12.50 per week.

I was resigned to $600-odd a year, but then my first shot only lasted about 8 weeks before I could tell it had worn off, so I got cranky.

woops!

Maths fail!

My endo (Ann Conway in Sydney) said that the first shot doesn't last as long, and so you should have one 6 weeks after the first, and then go to 3 monthly shots. Maybe thats what happened to you?

Hope so! I assumed I had some reserves left over from the Primoteston, but I guess not.

Doesn't look like anyone has The Answer, guess we'll just have to keep forking out.

I added you as an LJ friend. :)
