I just kinda realized that you've been my friend for a while but we're not mutal friends--which might be, you know, take a hint, self, and back the %&#@ off, but just in case this wasn't intentional, I thought I'd comment and say I'd love to be friends. :D If you don't want to add me, though, I won't take offense, don't worry.
It's not really a back-off thing... it's more of an "I'm unsure" kind of thing. You are definitely one of the people I do really like in the comm... but I try and keep my f-list pretty tight.

And so I came over here to see your journal, and I found out that we have a lot in common as far as ships and the Schneiderverse and the like. And I enjoy the conversations you have with Katybeth (who is my friend as well.) It would be awesome to get to know you!
