 I was inspired by this post to book blog. I probably won't be doing it exactly the way they had in mind, but I probably will talk about books I'm currently reading. After all, the original point of this blog was  mostly to blog about a particular book series. I have never read all the last book mainly because 1, I heard how it went and 2, I felt tge writinf was lackluster compared to the others and honestly something else probably came along. I really lived the series up until then.

Not to mention that Jondalar probably had a ton of Jondalar Jr.'s running around.

Although I'm not actually sure that Jondalar wasn't supposed to be an asshole all along. I think that maybe that was part of it, we were supposed to realize Jondalar was kind of a mistake. I don't know. The writing was just so clunky that I don't know if some of the weirdness would've made more sense had Jean Auel written it when she originally had the idea, or if it was just... weird.

I forgot that Ayla could whistle! Sigh.

Lol yeah, that too. Half of Valley of Horses was Jondalar being paraded around like the stud horse of Europe because he's so pretty and his penis is so large. Everybody wanted to have his 'spirit'. Although now I'm wondering how they figured you needed to have sexy to exchange spirits rather than just literally sleeping together. Guess they did notice that years and years of cuddling didn't work but actual sex did. But then, the step to "so that means sex partner = spirit giver = father" is awfully small ( ... )

Yeah, I think Thonolan even had a more open view of the Clan/Flatheads? But I could be wrong. Granted, the way no one in the Zelandoni really cared that Ayla was raised by the Clan does... not reflect well on Jondalar.
