The presence of so many people my age there would cause a lot of consternation in subsequent years, but that's a whole other story. (Being an adult now, I can see both sides. On the one hand, I'm sure all of us using purple font and saying LOL while quoting lines got annoying. On the other hand, from what I remember anyway, some of them could be a little mean.Aww I do remember back in the early 2000’s that I posted on a Buffy message board where we were rather mean to a very enthusiastic 15 year old who kept posting with constant smilies and nothing else lol. I'll admit in later years, I wasn't mean to younger fans per se, but I could be a bit condescending without meaning to. And I will say... while many young fans I knew were very mature, others were very immature and could even take away from discussions. I don't remember which one of those I was. (I do know I posted some really dumb threads, but that was more due to me trying too hard. If that makes sense. For instance, there was a nitpick forum, and I came up with the dumbest thing ever to nitpick. Everyone laughed at me.)

Oh, even my early twenties self wrote entries that were quite melodramatic. I think that even though 21 isn't a teenager, you are still younger, and I also think that people sound/act younger online. Some of my posts are very cringeworthy, and I even lost a few friends because I said some things that I probably shouldn't have.
