Gelphie

Mar 01, 2009 22:10

I just realized. All of my ideas for Gelphie stories are different scenarios of their first kiss. That sucks! I have no original ideas. I'm a failure. Yay.

As opposed to kiss? I can't write sex scenes I think it's illegal for minors to do that lol.

My Elphie and Galinda aren't ready to take that step in my mind either.

Both are really related to Idina and Kristen in their way, (becuase I idolize them. And I want chenzel to be real, i love chenzel, but at this point i dunno...i feel like it unrealistic. But when did that ever stop anyone?) but also I'm getting more and more inspiration from Maguires books. In the books, the elphie/galinda relationship was unmistakable. I think that the musical wicked, which came out before the sequel "son of a witch", really influenced him. When Lirr first meets Galinda, she agrees to help him, cause, "You knew her. You knew my Elphie!" Heartbreakingly beautiful. I love the scene with Galinda in the 2nd book. Anywho. Again, the question: As opposed to kissing?

There's a lot you can do with them in the Shiz environment (or the rest of that world) that has nothing to do with sex. Imagine different school situations & how they would deal with them, explore the growing attraction they feel for one another and the ensuing complications, explore them from aomeone else's perspective (e.g. Galinda's friends) as they grow closer and change their opinions of one another...

The best advice I can give is to write what you know. Imagine yourself in their shoes, or them in yours. Take a page from your own experience (in school, having a crush on someone, whatever) & put it into that world & those characters.

The nice thing about fiction & what people do here is that you can take the base model of the established characters and expand on them, move them around differently, let THEM explore new & different things.

It is challenging, I'll give you that. But you'll get it with time & practice :)

There you go, being nice again. What are we gonna do with you?

I have absolutely no experiances involving romance. AT ALL. Crushes, yeah sure. Nothing has actually happened. My life is relatively uneventful.

Personally, I like writing one on one situations between just elphie and galinda/glinda. I feel like they understand each other better then anyone else does and so it provides better writing material. i could go on for hours about wicked. don't get me started it's too late. then again, i've only written a story and ahalf so far. who knows where this could go?

i'm off to bed. Night! (remember the time difference)

jeez, why is everyone so nice on LJ? It's like all of the nice people gather here...I guess it's cuz we all love to write, and we all have the common interests, so we can relate to each other. I think it's so great that people all across the country can connect through the internet. Hey, chenzel_lover, are you in 8th or 9th grade, cause I think i'm a year ahead of you. I'm in 9th.

Yeah, you're 4 months younger than me. I'm one of the youngest in my grade. Oh, online I'm not as sarcastic and cynical as I am in real life, but I am still sarcastic and cynical. It's harder to show emotion online than in real life, though. But I am SO insanely cynical in real life. Seriously, it's kind of ridiculous. Haha.
