Actually. I'd like to read it.

Our theatre will finish their run of "Yours, Anne" on Thursday. It's the Diary of Anne Frank as a musical. It's so wonderful as a musical! At first you think, a bright, happy, musical?! But it's not like that at all. It's amazing.

Are you the lead? :) Are you kidding? Who would possibly associate anything having to do with the holocaust as "bright" or "happy"? even if it is a musical. I'll bet the music is really soulful.

No, I'm not the lead. Anne is played by a professional, AEA, actress. She's between 24-27 yrs old; I've heard conflicting reports. I'm in a different department at the theatre...not involved with the show this time.

She's brillant, though, and doesn't look like she's older than 13/15...only when she comes off stage...b/c she breaks character and her expressions are no longer that of a younger girl.

I didn't mean that you would think "Yours, Anne" would be bright and happy...only that normally, when one thinks musicals they think happier and how weird the concept of making something so serious into a musical.

Actually the music is great. Most of the lyrics are taken almost directly out of her diary-she wrote very well.

I really need to get around to reading that. Right now I'm reading eye of the needle but next I'm gonna pick up man's search for meaning.
