For a WIP I use the computer and if the power were out I'd still want to use a typewriter because it's so much faster. I'm impatient. I'm also developing rsd carpal tunnel from my job so longhand can get uncomfortable for large works. A few notes or a dream I prefer longhand.
My co-worker had an operation to fix her wrists so I figure I may have that in my future. In the meantime I'll try to keep them straight, not curved up or down, when typing, to prolong the life of them.
I may switch off qwerty but that's like trying to play Alto. I just can't get my brain to change the placement of fingers of where the notes are without messing up the soprano and tenor notes and all the keyboards at work are qwerty
