I'm not big on pork or beef but if they had a chicken or seafood variety, I'd be on board to try it.
But I think it's dangerous to try to take livestock out of the equation. Animals are so vital to crop growth that doing that would have the reverse ecological ramifications than I think they're expecting.
Grown meat can't be any grosser than hot dogs or bologna, if you think about it. *g*
I agree with you--animals are vital to farms. Sustainable farming involves reintroducing organic matter from both plants and animals to enrich the soil after each crop season. It's the kind of food our great grandparents ate. Organic foods are more delicious and nutritious, and the methods used to create them have a minimal impact on the environment. Even the processed variety, like Annie's or Newmans' Own, have those benefits. Prices for organic foods are lately more competitive because demand is increasing. I just wish packaging was more eco-friendly.
