I don't seem to have the time to committ to it anymore, but LJ was one of the best places I've ever been. I have friends on other sites, but it isn't quite the same. There's no way to stay up late exchanging huge text replies. No incentive to really write anything too long

Partly that was because I was going through a lot at the time, but that's still no excuse. Actually, I think that your excuse is valid. When you're going through a lot, you generally don't think about updating LJ or other social media every minute. No worries. Real life happens.

I miss LJ, too. I know most folks have moved on to Tumblr but I find it's not easy to have a conversation there, and Tumblr's, um, excesses are worse than here. Mostly, though, I miss all the friendships that I made here that kind of fell by the way side over the last couple of years of college. Most of them aren't really here anymore. I guess I'm not either, or not as much as I'd like. Do keep me posted on how you're doing if you're ever back on.
