I will not be watching the Supernatural finale for the first time in...who knows how many years. But I DO want to know what happens: this will be the deciding factor of if I spend my summer catching up on season 7 to watch season 8 (which, by the way show, good job moving out of the death zone of Friday nights and back to the living on Wednesday ( Read more... )

I can't watch it yet for lack of cable, but you should catch up. Overall the season's been so good.

I loved it!! Except for the last minute. Dean and Sam work together as a TEAM. It's GREAT! Bobby realizes that he can't fight the ghost vengeance and asks to be put to rest. The Leviathan plan to kill all the skinny people leaving behind us fattys. Crowley double crosses Dick because he only offered him Canada in their deal. The IMPALA is back for a little while. They use her and Ruby as a distraction. It works. Everything works just like they planned except for one little thing. The weapon has a little drawback. It pulls Dean and Cas into Purgatory. Sam is left alone. Crowley steals the Prophet and Ruby. Sam is left ALONE. This is not a good summary, but I liked Season 7 and was a BiG fan of Season 8. I'm sure there will be many more cogent replies to help you out. Surprised someone who can use a word like cogent wrote such a crappy summary. m :)

I liked it all until the end. It reminded me too much of when Dean went to hell. It is going to suck - for fan fic - for Sam girls this summer as it will be a summer of hurt Dean being taken care of by Cas. He is in purgatory being hunted by monsters. He and Cas. I don't care about Cas but I hate that he is with Dean. I would have loved it if it was Dean and SAM who got sent to purgatory. But more damaged Dean? This means the boys will probably be split up for a portion (or all) of next season and I do not like that at all.

Sera said that the brothers were going to be closer than ever by the end. How did this accomplish that? At this moment, I have no interest in watching next season. I am sure I will calm down but right now I am not impressed, at all.

Sure Sam is alone but who cares? He isn't in any danger and has no one to be concerned about him. Dean didn't even ask where Sam was when he realized he was in Purgatory. At least Sam asked Crowley about Dean!
