Writing is like . . . Yeah.
I’ve written previous posts in which I’ve compared writing to anything from gardening, to an amusement part, to a road (with agents as a GPS). While those posts still apply, lately I’ve come to think of the whole writing process as something more like the

I can't imagine living like that (in constant fear). It's said that Mrs. Winchester never slept in the same room (so the ghosts wouldn't find her). The house used to be 7 stories but was damaged during an earthquake and is now only four stories and 160 rooms (still huge).
I've been doing research on it because I find it fascinating--and have been generating novel ideas too. ;-)
