I read that article. I guess I can see how someone could end up at that conclusion, but. I went to high school with a few kids who were very obviously mixed in a very black and white high school. Their life really was hellish. That was just undeniable. They were treated with great equality in the misery they received from both sides.
He must live in a very tiny world though. What he thinks is the solution is precisely part of the problem. That and the fact that racist people are complete morons.
But like myself, it has been a "couple" yrs since you have been out of HS. I see interracial couples at my HS currently on a regular basis. The world, she is changing..
*laughs* Indeed, but I also went to high school in a very small community where the high school bridged two racially extreme tiny towns. I can see how it wouldn't have changed much rurally, where life still kind of stays assbackwards.
I really wish the world would speed the hell up on changing that part and that judges perspective, while VAGUELY understandable is certainly doing nothing to change any of it.
I will say that my view may be somewhat skewed, as my wife & her siblings all operate primarily in academia, which tends to be a more socially liberal environment..
