CSI Fic: Possibilities

Feb 13, 2006 14:27

I said once I got a handle on my life I'd start updating with the fic I've been writing. I'm still in full on flail-mode but this is overdue.

I wrote this for the CSI Secret Santa Challenge and seeing as I'll most likely be late with my CSI Smut-a-thon entry I offer this as appeasement.

My very first try at Yo!Bling ( is right under here )

olympics, csi fic

Nicely grafted. Loved Warrick's guilt, and the fact that you didn't try to fix it all, just alluded to certain possibilities and let the reader fugure the rest. Liked the pace and the language too.

Well done!

Thank you! Coming from you--one whom I consider to be *the* Cath/Warrick writer in fandom--that means a heck of a lot!

Because, believe you me, I was tres nervous about this one. That's what comes from stepping out of the comfort zone. So, thanks again.

I liked the fic quite a bit. I don't usually spend much time dwelling on Warrick and Catherine but this sort of brought the apeal home. So did you see last weeks episode?

Thank you. They aren't my first choice of a couple to ship but they are probably the most realistic couple on the show, that's probably why TPTB married Warrick off.

I did! I was a little disappointed, I wish they'd make the subtext a little less subtexty, you have to look really hard to see Gil/Lady H and of course they shuffle Sara off to the side so there's no chance of quashing Grissom/Sara. I'd just like it resolved one way or another at this point. Oh and the case itself actually made me feel ill, which is a first. CSI was able to gross even me out.

Yeah it's been like 6 years now, I'd like to see Gil get some texty play. Having him date somebody doesn't mean the possibility of any other ship is forever ruled out it just would make him a bit more human. Which at this point is sorely needed. I love the Lady Heather actress so very much...

Well done! I like its subtlety, and how the detailed description of the first scene makes you feel like a close observer.

Also, you did a great job in your description of the grieving 'process', if I might say so.

This is a terrific story. You deal with grief realistically and wisely, without making light of it, and Warrick and Catherine are spot-on, character-wise. Nicely done.
