Very nice part of the world. I love Sydney. But don't tell my Melbourne friends that.

I liked Australia on strictly geographical grounds; didn't like the culture as much. There's an undercurrent of ... I don't know, the lowbrow, in everything that somehow turned me off.

Also, they are about to have some serious water crises down there.

Oh, well aware of the water issues, believe me. The upside is that, following their politics, I think the Aussies are actually more inclined to do things when they need to do things, if that follows.
