Dear Lazywebs,

What do you need to know about your computer before giving it a new fan and/or RAM? And if you tell me "well you need to find out what kind of X chip or Y motherboard," you're gonna have to tell me how to find that out. I mean, other than just opening up and looking at it. how much space do you have left on your hard drive? (My Computer -> left-click once on Local Disc (C:) and see Details on the left hand side on the window). If you have less than a few GB of free space, that would impact the speed greatly.

easiest way to tell what you and yours PC specs are:

Click Start
Click Run
type 'dxdiag' and click OK
if it asks to download WHQL drivers, click OK
--the window that pops up will have several tabs showing your system specs (under System), graphics card (under Display), etc. Click "Save All Information...", Click OK again (noting where it saves the 'dxdiag.txt' file. Do all the above steps again on Misha's machine, and send both 'dxdiag.txt' files to my email.
