Don't think we DON'T have a plan, Jj. It just doesn't help to talk about it because of the dynamic nature of life. Man plans, God laughs and all that.

I just don't want to jinx it.

I haven't given up, but it's definitely not going to be an overnight thing.

And you're right. There are serious structural obstacles in your way, no question. Each time a wave comes that wiped out what small savings you've accumulated, you have to start over. So you have less to save in the first place and then those savings get removed more often.

You have my hard nosed sympathy and my encouragement. And my tacos, apparently.

We'll make it the way we always do... SOMEHOW.

I figured it out recently -- between my loan and the student loan, I'm about $50K in debt to the world. I think it's possible to get that taken care of, eventually. It just takes a fuckload of time and a lot of luck.
